about me

Marmelo, photoshoot catering, natalie stopford

My culinary adventure started in 2010 when I was working as a visual effect producer in the film industry.  I was working long crazy hours and decided I needed a creative outlet. Subsequently,
I started a little preserves company in my spare time. I would make my jams and chutneys on a Saturday and sell them in the farmers market on Sundays. I now have a small, but loyal following of preserve lovers and I sell to select outlets and in farmers markets.

When I started making preserves I strived for everything I produced to be sustainable and seasonal, using fresh produce from local farmers.  I am applying the same principles to Marmelo kitchen, only using the best and freshest ingredients to make the experience as delicious and nourishing as possible.

I started catering by chance when I was asked to cater a week long photo shoot for wallpaper magazine, and I loved it! I spent all week in the kitchen coming up with new dishes as well as cooking up some of my old favorites. I had so much fun during that week I didn’t know why it hadn’t dawned on me sooner.

Hopefully my loyal following will continue to grow, as Marmelo Preserves expands into Marmelo Kitchen!
